10. On off coloured water days make you steps smaller

No one likes fishing dirty water, but you don’t catch any fish sitting at home. Sometimes you jut need to power through tough water conditions. On those days when the water is off coloured adjust the way you fish.

I try to think about how far a fish could possibly see a fly in the water in its current condition.  This will determine how far I will be stepping after each swing. It may be slow going getting through your run but what’s the point of fishing it if you aren’t going to try and show it to every fish in said water.   Don’t walk past your fish, take smaller steps in the dirt.
